i get it now i understand why this comic exists. all the talking from all these people was to get to these moments where we see more them talk to each other and past each other some more. because that’s what people do. aja trying to do the proper thing… but when she has to sit and be uncomfortable what she does is make a million analogies and talk philosophy to all the people around her who dont get her. but kusa responding to her with her more stories of shajin and short blunt remarks surprisingly works, these two strong personalities who dont know each other. it’s becoming clear over the last few chapters that marsilans worship the law and what is the law but more words. aja tries to understand it and etl carries it out trying not to question it too much. kusa thinks she does understand them and she hates them. nirso does not know what is going on and neither does shalli but nirso will not try to change and shalli now will.
also great outfits. kusa’s forever plain white underdress (terrible thing to cook in btw) and aja’s many royal layers and duck bill hat
